Raigad Police Arrest Six in Alleged Cyber Fraud Account Network

Raigad police arrested six people, including a teenager, in a case about bank accounts and SIM cards allegedly used by cyber fraudsters.

Police say some people gave their accounts and cards to others in exchange for money.

The accounts were allegedly used to receive money from several kinds of online scams.

Investigators say the money was then passed along through other people and, in some cases, transferred abroad using cryptocurrency wallets.

Police also allege that some cash was taken out at ATMs.

Officers seized bank cards, SIM cards, phones, computers and other items.

The case was registered on July 20 under sections of India's Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Police say they are still looking for others who may have been involved.
