Mumbai Railways Add Three Early-Morning Services for Sekhon Marathon
Three extra local trains will run very early on Sunday morning.
They are being provided for people going to the Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2026.
Central Railway will run two trains.
One will start at Kalyan, and another will start at Panvel.
Both will travel to CSMT.
Western Railway will run a train from Virar to Churchgate.
These trains will help runners arrive on time because regular late-night trains are limited.
The marathon honors Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon, a war hero.
Central and Western Railway will operate three special suburban services on Sunday morning.
Central Railway will run services from Kalyan and Panvel to CSMT.
The Kalyan special leaves at 2:30 a.m. and reaches CSMT at 4 a.m.
The Panvel service departs at 2:40 a.m., while Western Railway’s Virar service leaves at 2:30 a.m.
The trains are intended to help runners and support staff reach the Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon early.
