Toxic Reaches Theatres After Multiple Release Delays
Toxic is a new movie starring Yash.
It was supposed to come out in April 2025, but its release date changed several times.
The movie eventually arrived in cinemas worldwide on 26 August 2026.
One delay was connected to problems affecting film distribution during rising tensions in the Middle East.
Other delays were also linked to production and scheduling issues.
Geetu Mohandas directed the film.
The cast includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
Before release, a court temporarily stopped some people from spreading content described as false or defamatory about the film.
The court order did not clearly stop people from giving honest reviews or criticism.
Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups released worldwide on 26 August 2026.
The film’s release moved from 10 April 2025 to 19 March 2026, then 4 June, before the August date was confirmed.
The March-to-June postponement was linked to Middle East tensions and concerns about international distribution.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic stars Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
A Bengaluru court granted KVN Productions a temporary injunction against allegedly false or defamatory content, while genuine reviews and criticism were not expressly barred.
