Elitecon International Rises 5% Despite Broad Market Weakness

Elitecon International is a very low-priced stock.

Its shares rose 5% on Thursday even though the wider market was uncertain.

The shares first fell to ₹7.09, their lowest price in a year, before recovering to ₹7.83.

However, the company’s share price has dropped sharply over recent weeks and months.

It is down more than 96% from its reported high of ₹237.

The broader market was affected by expensive oil, geopolitical tensions and concerns about US interest rates.

One market expert warned that continued high oil prices could hurt India’s economic growth and company profits.

Elitecon has also changed its board and senior management.

The company says these appointments will improve its governance and support future growth.
