BJP Leader Proposes Bottled Water Supply in Delhi
A BJP leader in Delhi has suggested that the government should provide bottled water to all residents.
He believes this is important because the regular water supply can get mixed with dirty water from sewers, making it unsafe to drink.
He also thinks that setting up water ATMs and delivering water to homes could create jobs.
The leader has written to the Delhi government to consider these ideas.
He mentioned that poor people often can't afford expensive water filters at home and have to buy bottled water, which might not always be safe.
The leader believes that bottled water supplied by the government would be a safer option for everyone.
BJP leader Sardar R P Singh proposed supplying bottled water to Delhi residents due to contamination risks in water pipelines.
He suggested funding the initiative through advertisements on bottles and an app for booking safe drinking water.
Singh also proposed setting up water ATMs and home delivery services to provide safe drinking water.
He argued that poor people are at risk as they cannot afford expensive RO machines and rely on questionable bottled water.
Singh has written to Delhi's Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh to consider these suggestions.
