The Devil: Darshan's Controversial Comeback
The Devil is a new movie starring Darshan Thoogudeepa, who plays two roles: a wild and powerful man called The Devil and a kind, simple man named Krishna.
The story is about a former chief minister who wants to return to power, and his assistant uses Krishna as a lookalike to help him.
The movie has many problems.
The story is old and not well-told, the acting is too dramatic, and the way women are treated in the movie is very bad.
The main bad guy does terrible things, like hurting women, and the movie doesn't punish him for it.
Many people were excited to see the movie because of Darshan, but it doesn't live up to their expectations.
Despite the criticism, the film has earned a significant amount of money on its first day, showing that many people still want to watch it.
The Devil stars Darshan Thoogudeepa in a dual role as both the protagonist and antagonist, with a plot centered around Karnataka state politics.
The film features hyper-stylized action, song sequences, and a mix of emotional and villainous elements, but fails to meet audience expectations.
Criticized for its archaic story, lackluster narrative, and problematic portrayal of women, including casual references to sexual abuse.
The main antagonist, a man who openly admits to raping a woman, is portrayed as the film's main attraction without facing consequences.
Despite significant pre-release buzz and advanced bookings, the film's execution is deemed uninspired and disappointing, failing to appease even hardcore fans.
