Lata Mangeshkar's Vande Mataram accidentally played at Shinde event

In Maharashtra, India, there was a big government ceremony to celebrate teaching the Marathi language to people who do not speak it.

At the end of the event, everyone was asked to stand up for a special song called 'Vande Mataram'.

But the people running the event made a mistake and played the wrong version of the song.

Instead of the official national song, they played an old movie version sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

The deputy chief minister, Eknath Shinde, and other important leaders stood up together with the audience for almost four minutes.

Nobody seemed to realise the mistake at first.

Later, the mix-up was noticed and Mr. Shinde said sorry for the error.

After that, the national anthem and Maharashtra's official state song were played.

Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, even at very important events.
