Canada Halts Home Care Worker Immigration Intake
Canada has stopped accepting new applications for its Home Care Worker Immigration programs.
These programs help people who take care of children, seniors, and people with disabilities move to Canada permanently.
The government says they had to stop because too many people wanted to apply, and they can't process everyone right away.
People who already applied will still have their applications looked at.
The programs won't start accepting new applications again before March 2026.
To be eligible, you need a job offer, experience, and good language skills.
There are two types of programs: one for child care workers and one for home support workers.
Each has two ways to apply: for people already working in Canada and for those not working there yet.
Canada has halted new applications for Home Care Worker Immigration pilots due to high demand.
Applications already received will continue to be processed.
The programs will not reopen before March 2026.
Eligibility requires a full-time job offer, relevant experience, language skills, and education.
There are two pilots: Child Care and Home Support, each with two application streams.
