70% of deemed forest joint survey completed

The Forest, Ecology and Environment Minister, Eshwar B. Khandre, announced that 70% of a joint survey to fix mistakes in the deemed forest certification has been completed.

The survey aims to correct errors like including government buildings and private lands as forests.

The Supreme Court gave the state a chance to fix these mistakes, and special teams have been formed to find long-term solutions.

The minister also talked about clearing forest encroachments, planting trees along roads, and taking strict action against illegal activities like stone quarrying and pollution.

Officials are working to make sure tourists follow the rules in Skandagiri and to prevent pollution in rivers and lakes.
