JioStar Q3 Revenue Rises on Subscription Growth
JioStar, a company owned by Reliance, made more money in the last three months of 2025 compared to the previous quarter.
This is because more people are paying to watch their shows and ads on their digital platforms.
They have 450 million people using their app every month, and people are watching entertainment shows for longer.
However, they made less profit because of higher costs.
They also have a very popular TV show called Bigg Boss and a big sports event called the Women's World Cup.
They merged with Disney to make a bigger streaming service called JioHotstar, which has 300 million paid subscribers.
Experts say they need more than just big events like IPL to keep growing.
JioStar's Q3 2025 revenue rose 11.6% quarter-on-quarter to ₹6,896 crore, driven by strong subscription and digital ad growth.
Profit before tax fell 32.2% to ₹898 crore, while Ebitda decreased to ₹1,303 crore.
Average monthly active users on JioHotstar reached 450 million, with a 15% increase in entertainment watch time.
Viewership share grew 1% year-on-year to 34.6%, and the Hollywood release 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' grossed ₹200 crore in 15 days.
JioHotstar, the merged entity of Disney+ Hotstar and JioCinema, has 300 million paid subscribers, significantly more than competitors like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
