Pune Airport Set to Expand with Land Transfer and New Bays
Imagine the Pune Airport is getting bigger!
The Air Force is giving them some land, about the size of 13 acres.
This land will be used to build new parking spots for airplanes, so more planes can land and take off.
Because more planes can fly, the airport needs more room.
They are also adding more spots for flights and making the arrival area a departure area.
This will help handle all the passengers and planes that are coming and going!
The goal is to make things smoother for everyone.
Pune Airport expects 13 acres of land from the Indian Air Force (IAF) by September.
The land will be used to build infrastructure including parking bays for more flights.
IAF provided 15 more slots for commercial flights.
The airport currently has 10 parking bays, with plans to add five more.
Work on the arrival area of the old building is underway, to be another departure area.
