Kadam Ayacut Farmers Plant Paddy After Heavy Rains
Imagine a big lake that helps farmers grow rice.
This lake is called the Kadam irrigation project.
It rained a lot, so the lake is full!
Farmers are now planting rice on their land, using water from the lake.
Water started flowing to their fields on July 15th, and it will keep flowing for about three months.
The officials in charge of the lake say there's enough water now, and the farmers are happy because they have plenty of water for their rice crops, unlike last year.
The lake is almost full, but they are not sure if they'll have water for the next season.

Water has been released from the Kadam irrigation project's left canal since July 15.
Paddy has been planted in approximately 40,000 acres out of 68,150 acres.
