Bareilly Police Arrest Five Over Alleged Agniveer Recruitment Fraud

Bareilly police say they arrested five people for allegedly tricking Army Agniveer applicants.

The suspects reportedly promised to help candidates pass physical and medical tests.

They allegedly asked for money in return.

Police said some suspects pretended to work for the Army or military hospitals.

One suspect reportedly ran a physical-training academy.

Another had previously worked as a sanitation worker in a medical-corps facility.

Police recovered phones, cash, vehicles and forged documents.

A sixth suspect named Asif is still missing.

The investigation is continuing.
