Owaisi Attacks RSS Over Bhagwat’s Remark On Muslims
Mohan Bhagwat, the head of the RSS, said that a Hindu who wants all Muslims excluded from India would not remain a Hindu.
Asaduddin Owaisi criticized this statement.
Owaisi said it was an old strategy used by the RSS.
He argued that the organization says one thing publicly but has different ideas in writings by some of its important thinkers.
Owaisi mentioned Hedgewar, Savarkar and Golwalkar.
He also referred to the 2002 Gujarat riots and policies that he says affect minorities.
Owaisi challenged Bhagwat to read passages from those thinkers in public.
He said people should decide what they think of the RSS.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said a Hindu who believes Muslims should not remain in India will not remain Hindu.
AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi called Bhagwat’s statement the “oldest trick in the RSS playbook.”
Owaisi alleged that the RSS publicly presents one message while retaining different positions in writings by its ideological figures.
He cited Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, V. D. Savarkar and M. S. Golwalkar while accusing the RSS of historically opposing Hindu-Muslim unity.
Owaisi linked the RSS’s alleged ideological influence to the 2002 Gujarat riots, the Uniform Civil Code, anti-conversion laws and use of the UAPA against minorities.
