West Bengal Aligns School Curriculum with NEP 2020
The West Bengal government has set up a committee to update school curricula from classes 1 to 12.
This committee, led by Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, will make sure the curriculum follows the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and other new guidelines.
They will also look at how exams are conducted, how teachers are trained, and how students are taught in class.
The goal is to make learning more about understanding concepts and less about memorizing.
The committee will give a preliminary report in two months and a final report in three months after getting feedback from teachers and experts.
