Government Denies Plans to Expand PM-KISAN Scheme
The government isn't planning to give farmers more money or include more people in the PM-KISAN scheme, which gives money to farmers.
This scheme gives farmers ₹6,000 each year, paid in parts.
The government has already given out a lot of money through this scheme, which goes directly to farmers' bank accounts.
They also won't be using an app from Tamil Nadu to give farmers information.
No current plans to expand PM-KISAN coverage or financial support.
The PM-KISAN scheme, launched in February 2019, provides ₹6,000 annually to farmers.
Over ₹3.9 lakh crore has been disbursed to farmers through the scheme.
Benefits are transferred via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) based on verified data.
There is no proposal to replicate Tamil Nadu's 'Uzhavan App' model.
