Delhi MP directs action on waterlogging in Sharma Colony
There's a place called Sharma Colony in Delhi where it has been flooding for many months.
Dirty water is entering people's homes, and it's very hard to live there.
A local leader named Yogendra Chandolia visited the area and talked to the people.
He said the problem happened because different groups in the government didn't work together properly.
The current government is now trying to fix the problem by building new drains and connecting the area to a big sewage treatment plant.
They are also blaming the previous government for not doing enough to help the area.
The government has promised to make things better soon.
BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia visited Sharma Colony in Kirari, Northwest Delhi, to assess the waterlogging situation.
Residents have been suffering from dirty water entering homes due to faulty drainage lines and inadequate sewage infrastructure.
Chandolia blamed the previous government for neglect and poor planning, leading to the current mess.
The current government is addressing the issue by linking the drainage system to a Sewerage Treatment Plant and allocating Rs 9.4 crore for development projects.
Major projects include a new drain from Mundka Halt to Supplementary Drain (Rs 220 crore) and the Kirari–Rithala Trunk Drain (Rs 250 crore).
