Russian Drone Kills 15 Miners Amid Peace Talks

On Sunday, a Russian drone attacked a bus carrying miners in Ukraine.

The bus was hit in the town of Ternivka, killing 15 miners and injuring 7 others.

This attack was part of a larger offensive by Russia targeting energy infrastructure in the region.

Earlier the same day, Russia also struck a maternity hospital and a residential building in the city of Zaporizhzhia, injuring at least nine people, including a child.

These attacks happened just hours after Ukraine's president announced that a second round of U.S.-brokered talks between Ukraine and Russia would take place next week.

Russia had previously agreed to stop attacking Ukrainian energy infrastructure until February 1, but these recent strikes show that the conflict is still ongoing.

The talks are set to resume in Abu Dhabi on February 4 and 5, but there are still disagreements over territory and other key issues.
