Sahyadri Hospital Cleared in Pune Couple's Deaths After Liver Transplant
A husband and wife in Pune, India, died after having a liver transplant surgery at Sahyadri Hospital.
The family said the hospital did something wrong, so the government made a special team to check.
The team said the hospital did nothing wrong, so the hospital can now do more liver transplants.
The police are still looking into the case at another hospital.
A high-level committee cleared Sahyadri Hospital of any wrongdoing in the deaths of a Pune couple after a liver transplant.
The committee found no errors in the treatment of the donor or the transplanted patient.
The Health Department lifted the moratorium on liver transplant surgeries at the hospital on November 27.
The couple's relatives had accused the hospital of negligence and filed a police complaint.
The police sent the case to J. J. Hospital in Mumbai for further investigation due to the unavailability of experts at Sassoon Hospital.
