Boxers left in cold as accommodation not booked
During the Elite National Boxing Championships, many boxers, coaches, and support staff were asked to leave their accommodation on Friday night.
The rooms were only booked until Friday, even though the tournament was still going on.
This left many teams outside in the cold, as temperatures were around 6-7 degrees Celsius.
The Boxing Federation of India (BFI) later found a solution, but not before many teams had to spend hours in the cold.
Some teams still didn't have accommodation by the time the news was reported.
The teams were upset because they expected the organizers to book accommodation for the whole tournament.
The tournament has also faced other issues, like delays and allegations of biased refereeing.
