West Bengal SSC To Revise Merit List For 12,445 Higher Secondary Teacher Posts After OBC Quota Cut From 17% To 7% · freepressjournal.in

West Bengal’s school recruitment commission is making a new list for higher secondary teacher jobs.

The list is being changed because the OBC reservation was reduced from 17% to 7%.

The earlier list was published on January 21.

It recommended 3,586 candidates for jobs among 12,445 posts.

Some candidates on that list may move up, move down, or lose their recommendation.

Candidates were asked to update their OBC sub-category details.

Interviews and counselling that were paused are expected to restart after the new list is published.

The commission will later prepare an interview list for 23,209 secondary-school posts.
