UP Expands Road Safety Measures
The government of Uttar Pradesh in India has decided to make roads safer by adding more CCTV cameras, buying special cars to catch rule-breakers, and using high-tech tools.
They are spending a lot of money to put CCTV cameras at busy crossroads in cities like Lucknow, Moradabad, and Ballia.
They are also buying cars that can quickly reach places where accidents happen and tools that can check if drivers are following the rules.
Additionally, they are planning to teach people about traffic rules and safety through campaigns and signs.
All these steps are to make sure people drive carefully and follow the rules, so there are fewer accidents on the roads.
The government is also working on a new system to make it easier to track traffic fines and link them to driving licenses and vehicle insurance.
This will help in taking quick action against those who break the rules and ensure better compensation for accident victims.
Uttar Pradesh government approves proposals to enhance traffic and transport infrastructure for road safety.
Funding allocated for CCTV cameras, interceptor vehicles, electronic enforcement devices, and motion sensors.
₹4.96 crore for CCTV cameras in Lucknow, ₹3.10 crore for integrated CCTV in Moradabad and Ballia, and ₹1.28 crore for truck simulators and technical equipment.
