JD(U) fields Neeraj Kumar despite internal dissent in Bihar

The JD(U) party has chosen Neeraj Kumar to contest a Bihar legislative council election.

He wants to win a fourth term from the Patna Graduates constituency.

He has represented that constituency since 2008.

Some people inside the party opposed giving him the ticket.

JD(U) MLA Anant Kumar Singh said he would work against Kumar’s victory.

The election is scheduled for October 23.

The party also named Abhishek Jha, Anand Pushkar and Ghanshyam Rai as candidates.

Pushkar will contest from Saran Teachers, while Jha and Rai will contest from Tirhut Graduates and Darbhanga Teachers.
