Apple May Use A19 Chip in 2026 Budget iPad
Apple might put a powerful new chip called the A19 in their cheaper iPad coming in 2026.
This is surprising because usually, the cheaper iPads get older chips.
Some people think this might not be true because it's different from what others have said before.
The iPad Air might also get a new chip called the M4.
Both new iPads might have better internet connections with a new chip called the N1.
Some people are not sure if this is really happening because the secret names for the new iPads are a bit mixed up.
Macworld reports Apple may equip the 2026 budget iPad with the A19 chip, used in the iPhone 17.
This would break Apple's usual strategy of using older chips in budget iPads.
Previous leaks suggested the A18 chip, which aligns with Apple's typical approach.
Conflicting codenames (J581, J588) have raised doubts about the report's accuracy.
The next iPad Air is expected to use the M4 chip, and both new iPads may include the N1 networking chip.
