Sun Pharma, Cipla Recall Products in US
Two big drug companies, Sun Pharma and Cipla, are recalling some of their medicines in the US.
Sun Pharma is recalling over 24,000 bottles of a medicine for skin problems and another medicine for acne because of some issues with the quality.
Cipla is recalling more than 15,000 syringes of a different medicine because there are tiny bits of stuff in them that shouldn't be there.
The US government says these recalls are not super serious, but they're doing them to be safe.
The US is the biggest market for medicines in the world.
Sun Pharma is recalling 24,624 bottles of Fluocinolone Acetonide Solution due to failed impurities/degradation specifications.
Sun Pharma is also recalling Clindamycin Phosphate USP due to out-of-specification results for total impurities and assay.
Cipla is recalling 15,221 syringes of Lanreotide Injection due to the presence of particulate matter.
Sun Pharma's recalls are Class III, indicating unlikely adverse health consequences.
Cipla's recall is Class II, indicating potential temporary or medically reversible health consequences.
