Anurag Kashyap on South Indian Cinema vs Bollywood

At an event called The Hindu Huddle 2025, film director Anurag Kashyap talked about how Indian movies are changing.

He said that in the South, movies are often more creative and focus on the story.

In Bollywood, the Hindi film industry, he feels there's too much focus on making money and using big stars.

Kashyap likes how movies in the South put the story first, making him feel more comfortable there.
