Medaram Jathara: Health Measures and Increased Attendance
A big festival called Medaram Jathara is happening in Telangana, where millions of people go to visit the goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma.
The health minister, Damodar Rajanarasimha, had a meeting with health officials to make sure everyone stays safe.
They've set up medical camps near the main places where people go, and the minister wants even more camps so people can get help if they need it.
He said medical help should be available from the time people start their journey to Medaram until they go back home.
Because of the Sankranthi holidays, even more people are visiting, so local authorities are also working to keep the crowds safe and orderly.
Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha urged health officials to implement strict measures for the wellbeing of devotees at Medaram Jathara.
Three medical camps have been established near the main shrines, Jampanna stream, and the RTC bus stand.
The Minister directed officials to set up additional medical camps in and around the Jathara area.
Medical services should be accessible from the start of devotees' journey to Medaram until their return home.
