Wangchuk Says CJP Founders Have Political Ambitions, Not Saints

Sonam Wangchuk talked about the people who started the Cockroach Janta Party.

He said he thinks they may want to enter politics someday.

He also said there is nothing wrong with having that goal.

Wangchuk believes young people should participate in politics if they want to help society.

However, he said the student protest had to stay separate from political parties.

This helped people see it as a student movement instead of a party campaign.

He said the founders followed this rule during the protest.

Wangchuk also said a person’s past work with a political party should not automatically be criticized.
