Police Intensify Probe Into Prakasam Hostel Girls Assault Case

Police are investigating an alleged assault involving girls from a hostel in Prakasam district.

A retired DRDA employee has been taken into custody after a case was registered.

The girls spoke to police at Ongole Disha Police Station.

One girl is having medical examinations at RIMS.

Police say a hostel cook allegedly sent the girls to the retired official.

One girl escaped and told her relatives, which brought the incident to light.

Officials are checking how the girls travelled from the hostel to Ongole.

The hostel warden received a notice, and the cook was suspended.
