CBI Alleges CREST Funds Bought Goa Property
The CBI says money belonging to a government-linked organization called CREST was moved through another company.
Investigators allege that Rs 95 lakh was transferred to Vipam Consultancy.
They say Rs 80 lakh was then used to buy property in Goa.
Vipam is linked to Anupam Srivastava, whose husband Navneet Srivastava formerly led CREST.
The CBI alleges the company did not do real business for CREST.
It says the transfers were part of a plan to misuse public money.
The agency has charged the couple and others with several alleged offences.

The chargesheet includes allegations of conspiracy, bribery, forgery, evidence destruction and criminal misconduct.
