Adilabad Teachers Face Delays with New Attendance System
Imagine teachers in Adilabad were sometimes missing school.
To fix this, the school district started using a new system where teachers have to scan their faces on their phones to show they're at school.
But, the system had some problems.
Some teachers couldn't register right away because the computer servers weren't working well, and some teachers had already moved to different schools.
This meant some teachers weren't able to log their attendance on time.
The goal is to make sure teachers are at school when they should be.
Adilabad district introduced Facial Recognition Attendance (FRS) for teachers to ensure punctuality.
Technical glitches caused registration delays for teachers using the new FRS system.
Only about 60% of teachers successfully recorded attendance via facial recognition on the second day.
The new system requires both teaching and non-teaching staff to record attendance at 9:00 am and 4:15 pm daily.
The FRS system was implemented to address concerns about teacher absenteeism and poor time management.
