CISF Clarifies No Pets Rule After MP Incident
A few weeks ago, a member of Parliament named Renuka Chowdhury brought a dog into the Parliament building, which caused some controversy.
The security team, called CISF, has now said that pets are not allowed inside the Parliament complex.
They are trying to remind all the MPs about this rule.
The CISF says the rules are very clear, and even though MPs have special privileges, they should follow the rules about not bringing pets inside.
The dog was a stray that the MP was taking to the vet, but the rules still apply.
Congress MP Renuka Chowdhury brought a dog into the Parliament complex on December 1, 2025.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has clarified that pets are not allowed inside the Parliament complex.
CISF Director General Praveer Ranjan stated that the rules are clear and there is no ambiguity.
The CISF is trying to sensitize legislators about the pet rule following the incident.
MPs have unrestricted entry into the Parliament premises during sessions but are expected to follow the no-pet rule.
