Jatin Pandit Criticizes Aankhon Se Tune 2.0 Remix
Jatin Pandit, the composer who wrote the 1998 hit song Aankhon Se Tune, said he was upset about a new version of the song that was made in 2024.
The new version adds a fast dance beat and a new opening verse sung by Dev Negi and Palak Muchhal.
Pandit thinks the original song was simple and heartfelt, and the remix changes that feeling.
He also worries that young people might not know he wrote the original.
Pandit said the remix might have used AI to create its music.
He told other remix makers to keep the original spirit of songs instead of just making them sound modern.
The remix has become very popular, with more than 23 million views on YouTube.
Jatin Pandit criticized the 2024 remix Aankhon Se Tune 2.0 for changing the original song’s mood and adding a dance beat.
The remix, produced by Lijo George, opens with a new verse by Dev Negi and Palak Muchhal before returning to Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik’s vocals.
The remix has over 23 million YouTube views, but Pandit says it turns a moderate, heartfelt track into a dance‑oriented version.
Pandit expressed concern that younger listeners may not know the original composer, Jatin‑Lalit, and that AI may have been used in the remix’s production.
He urged remix artists to preserve the essence of classic songs rather than simply modernising them.
