Delhi AQI hits 500, PM Modi's trip delayed
Delhi's air quality has become very bad, reaching a 'Severe Plus' level.
Because of this, the government has brought back very strict rules called GRAP Stage 4.
These rules include stopping all building work that is not necessary, not allowing polluting trucks to enter Delhi, and letting kids in certain classes choose between going to school or learning online.
The government is also asking people to work from home to help reduce pollution.
The bad air is caused by things like burning crop waste, cars, and factories.

Key pollution sources include stubble burning, vehicular emissions, firecrackers, and industrial activities, exacerbated by unfavourable meteorological conditions.
Delhi has been experiencing poor air quality since mid-October, with winter months typically seeing the worst conditions, and the severe category is expected to persist through Sunday.
