ICSI Opens 5th International Conference on Governance in Mauritius

ICSI is a big organisation in India for people called company secretaries, who help companies follow rules and make good decisions.

In August 2026, this group held a big three-day meeting, called a conference, in Mauritius.

The meeting was about helping companies stay strong and honest, even when the world changes quickly and unpredictably.

Important leaders came to the meeting, including a minister from the Mauritius government and a representative from India.

They talked about how company secretaries can help businesses grow, follow the rules, and be clear about what they do.

They also talked about how India and Mauritius can work together to do business with Africa.

People at the meeting discussed using artificial intelligence in fair, careful and responsible ways.

They also talked about letting shareholders, the people who own parts of companies, take part in decisions.

At the end of the meeting, everyone took a tour of the Mauritius government's financial services ministry.

The group also announced it will hold another big meeting in Mumbai, India, in January 2027.
