New Expressway Route Cuts Gurugram-Amritsar Travel to 4.5 Hours
A new road route can make the drive from Gurugram to Amritsar much faster.
The journey is about 405 kilometres and is estimated to take around four and a half hours.
Drivers can use several expressways to reach the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway.
This lets them avoid driving through central Delhi.
The older route could take between eight and a half and ten hours.
The new route may save several hours by keeping drivers away from busy roads and intersections.
It could help workers, tourists and religious travellers going to Punjab.
Separately, NHAI is checking the quality of 17 highway projects during construction.
