Retired Juhu Bank Manager Loses ₹3.84 Crore In Scam

A retired bank manager in Mumbai was tricked by people pretending to be police officers.

They told him that his identity documents had been used in a terrorism case.

The scammers also claimed that a bank account connected to him had received money for terrorists.

They sent him a fake letter and threatened to arrest him and his family.

They told him he was under “digital arrest,” even though he was not physically detained.

Over 10 days, he sent them ₹3.84 crore.

Police have frozen about ₹2 crore in many bank accounts.

They are trying to recover the rest of the money.
