Rajkot Startup Pioneers Crop Waste Sanitary Napkins and UriMate
Two friends from Rajkot started a company called Nishkaam Innovations to make things that are good for people and the planet.
They're using leftover parts of crops to make special pads that women can use during their periods.
These pads will break down easily, unlike many pads that use plastic.
They are also making a device called UriMate to help women use the bathroom in a clean way.
They are getting help from the government and other groups to get their products made and sold, and they hope to help farmers too.
It's like they're trying to solve problems with smart ideas!
Rajkot-based startup Nishkaam Innovations develops biodegradable sanitary napkins from agricultural waste.
The startup, founded by Marwadi University alumni Foram Kundalia and Khushal Katdare, also created UriMate, a portable female urination device.
The biodegradable napkins are in the prototype stage, aiming to offer superior absorption and reduce pollution.
UriMate is available offline and will launch online, targeting rural and semi-urban markets initially.
Nishkaam Innovations is recognized by DPIIT and supported by various organizations.
