CGHS Launches New Digital System and Mobile App for Health Services
Imagine a health plan for government workers and retirees called CGHS.
They used to pay their health fees in an old-fashioned way.
Now, there's a brand-new, easy-to-use online system.
Instead of going through a complicated website, people can now pay directly on the CGHS website.
It's like getting a new video game console after playing with an old one!
The new system checks payments automatically and lets people change their information online.
The CGHS has also updated their app on phones.
All of these improvements make things faster and more secure.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched a new digital system for the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).
Manual payments through Bharat Kosh are discontinued; payments are now made on the official CGHS website.
Beneficiaries now use a unique PAN-based ID.
The new system auto-verifies payments and allows online management of card services.
The ministry relaunched the CGHS mobile app on Android and iOS.
