Indore Court Demonstrates Danger of Banned Kite String
In Indore, India, a court showed how dangerous a banned kite string called 'manjha' is.
They used a thin string to cut a pencil in half to show how sharp it is.
The court said this string is very dangerous and has caused many injuries and deaths.
They are very upset that people are still using it even though it's banned.
The court wants the government to make stronger rules to stop people from using this dangerous string.
If they don't, the court might even ban flying kites altogether.
The court also said that if someone dies because of this string, the people responsible could go to jail.
They want everyone to know how serious this problem is.
A court in Indore demonstrated the danger of banned Chinese kite string (manjha) by snapping a pencil with it.
The court expressed concern over the failure of enforcement, as the banned string was still being used and causing fatalities.
The court directed the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh to formulate a strict policy to eliminate the use of Chinese kite string.
The court warned that if the situation remained uncontrolled, kite flying itself could be prohibited.
The court clarified that any death caused by Chinese kite string would attract a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
