NIA Court Rejects Discharge Plea of Nasir Chaudhary in Fake Currency Case
A man named Nasir Chaudhary was arrested in Mumbai for being involved in a fake currency case.
The court said there is enough evidence to prove he did something wrong.
The police found fake money and said it was linked to a big criminal named Dawood Ibrahim.
Nasir's lawyer said the police put the fake money on him, but the court didn't believe that.
The court decided that Nasir should go to trial to prove if he is guilty or not.
NIA court rejected the discharge plea of Nasir Chaudhary in a fake currency case linked to Dawood Ibrahim's aide, Javed Chikna.
Chaudhary was arrested on November 26, 2021, based on the statement of key accused Riyaz Shikilkar.
Shikilkar was caught with 149 fake Rs2,000 notes and revealed Chaudhary's involvement during interrogation.
A fake note was recovered from an under-construction mosque during Chaudhary's interrogation.
The court found sufficient evidence against Chaudhary to stand trial, dismissing his lawyer's claims of false implication and planted evidence.
