Hindustan Copper Shares Fall 6% as Government OFS Opens

Hindustan Copper’s share price fell by 6% when the government began selling some of its shares.

This sale is called an offer for sale, or OFS.

Large investors who are not regular individual investors can bid first on August 25, 2026.

Individual retail investors can bid the next day.

The government wants to sell up to 6% of Hindustan Copper.

The minimum sale price is Rs 514 per share.

Employees can also apply for a small reserved portion of shares.

Copper prices have been rising because supplies are shrinking and trade demand is changing.

Anand Rathi still believes Hindustan Copper could perform well and gave it a Rs 715 target price.
