Nellore District Orders Tighter Coastal Surveillance and Security

Nellore District Orders Tighter Coastal Surveillance and Security

Officials in Nellore want to make the coast safer.

Collector Himanshu Shukla held a meeting about coastal security.

They will watch the 125-kilometre coastline continuously.

They will also patrol it regularly.

Officials will check fishermen’s boats carefully.

These checks are meant to stop boats from entering without permission from neighbouring states.

Any suspicious activity must be reported quickly to the right agencies.

The district has 3,747 motorised boats, so many departments need to work together.
