Karnataka seizes one tonne rotten food from 60 Bengaluru hotels

Some grown-ups work as food inspectors.

Their job is to make sure the food restaurants serve is safe to eat.

In the city of Bengaluru, in India, they visited 60 big hotels.

They found almost one tonne of old and spoiled food.

Old meat, bad vegetables, and expired milk were taken away.

The inspectors also tested 77 food samples in special laboratories.

They visited a McDonald's restaurant too.

That restaurant used a chemical that is not allowed to treat its frying oil.

The restaurant got a warning notice for that.

The inspectors will keep checking so everyone follows the food safety rules.
