Maharashtra Launches Cashless PetroCard for Ambulances, Expands 102 Service
The Maharashtra state government has started a new system that lets ambulances buy fuel without cash.
Each of the 3,195 state ambulances will get a special card from HPCL that tracks fuel use in real time.
This should stop delays when ambulances need to refuel.
The government also said that the 102 ambulance service, which used to help only pregnant women and children, will now help anyone who needs an ambulance.
The goal is to make emergency care faster, more honest, and easier for people to use.
