HC Orders Notice to Edappadi Palaniswami on Plea by Former AIADMK MP
A former AIADMK MP named K C Palanisamy went to the Madras High Court.
He said that the current AIADMK leader, Edappadi K Palaniswami, and another party member, P Kandavel, made false claims against him.
These claims led to a police case being filed, and Palanisamy was arrested.
He spent 19 days in jail before being released on bail.
Later, the court said the police case was wrong and canceled it.
Now, Palanisamy wants the court to stop Palaniswami from spreading these false claims and also wants money as compensation for the harm done to his reputation.
The court has asked Palaniswami and Kandavel to respond to these claims, and the next hearing is on February 13.
