NGT Fines Sonbhadra DM ₹10,000 for Delay in Illegal Mining Report
The National Green Tribunal punished the District Magistrate of Sonbhadra for not submitting a report on illegal mining on time.
The DM was fined ₹10,000 and the money will be used to improve the NGT Bar Association's library.
The case will be heard again in January 2026.
