Federal Bank Launches Biometric ID for E-commerce Payments
Federal Bank has launched a new way to pay online using your fingerprint or face.
This means you don't have to type in codes sent to your phone anymore, making it quicker and safer.
When you buy something online, you can now use your fingerprint or face to prove it's really you.
This system, made with partners like M2P and MinkasuPay, speeds up payments to just a few seconds and keeps your money safe.
It works on phones and follows rules set by the RBI, India's central bank.
You sign up once, and then it's easy to use when shopping online with certain stores.
The new system is currently available for Federal Bank customers.
Federal Bank introduced biometric authentication for e-commerce card transactions.
Customers can now authenticate online purchases using fingerprint or face ID.
The solution replaces OTPs, reducing transaction times to 3–4 seconds.
It is compliant with RBI's Two-Factor Authentication guidelines.
The feature is live for Federal Bank cardholders with select partner merchants.
