Delhi Police educates elderly on cyber safety
The Delhi Police held a special event to teach older people how to stay safe online.
They talked about tricks that bad people use to steal money or information.
A police officer and a cyber expert gave advice on how to avoid these scams.
They also had music and a fun performance to keep everyone interested.
The police want older people to be careful when using the internet and to share what they learned with their families and friends.
Delhi Police organized a cyber awareness programme for senior citizens to educate them about online frauds and safe digital practices.
The event was held at the NCUI Auditorium and Convention Centre in south Delhi and was presided over by Special Commissioner of Police Ajay Chaudhary.
Cyber security expert Dr Rakshit Tandon delivered a lecture highlighting emerging cyber-fraud techniques and cautioning against suspicious links, unverified applications, fake QR codes, and sharing OTPs.
Chaudhary urged senior citizens to remain vigilant during online transactions and avoid downloading applications from unknown sources.
The programme featured performances by the Delhi Police Orchestra and a pantomime act, engaging the audience of senior citizens, police officers, and media persons.
