MP Private Hospitals Boycott Ayushman Over NABH Rule

MP Private Hospitals Boycott Ayushman Over NABH Rule

Some private hospitals in Madhya Pradesh say they will stop treating people through the Ayushman health scheme.

They plan to begin on Thursday, October 8, and say the stoppage will continue until their demands are addressed.

The boycott is limited to hospitals with entry-level NABH certificates.

Hospital groups disagree with making NABH certification compulsory for participating hospitals.

They want that rule removed.

The groups are also planning a march toward New Delhi using ambulances.

About 110 ambulances gathered in Bhopal on Wednesday.

They hope to involve nearly 1,000 ambulances from different districts.

In four cities, about 310 of 739 Ayushman-affiliated hospitals had NABH certification.
